Russian Visa Types and Selection for US Citizens

We provide expert assistance for all Russian visa types - ensuring your Russian visa application gets approved fast!

Tourist Visa (Up to 3 Years)

The most common type, perfect for vacations, cultural visits, or short-term stays (up to 30 days). Tourist visas can now be issued for up to three years for Americans, allowing multiple entries a major benefit for frequent travelers.

Business Visa (Up to 1 year)

If you’re attending meetings, signing contracts, or engaging in commercial activities, this is the appropriate category. Business visas can be issued as single-, double-, or multiple-entry, with validities ranging from 30 days to 12 months(and up to 3-5 years in special cases).

Russian Federation Visa Requirements for US Passport Holders

To qualify for a Russian visa, U.S. citizens must meet the following:

Your U.S. passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay in Russia. It must also have at least two blank pages for the visa and stamps.
You’ll need to clearly define your travel purpose and submit supporting documents such as a tourist voucher, business invitation letter, or official event information.
All travelers must enter and exit Russia within the validity period on their visa. Overstays can result in fines, bans, or visa rejections in the future.
The Russian consulate may conduct background checks. While minor offenses are not always disqualifying, serious criminal history can lead to denial.
